richwitchbtch; Remissa and Siria figure out Looks for the deer wedding
[Remissa floos in to Siria's flat a good fifteen minutes past the time they'd agreed to meet, her bridesmaid's outfit for Jane and Lily's wedding in a garment bag tucked under her arm.
The smile directed at Siria is a little sheepish, for a few reasons.] Sorry I'm late.
[That's one. The other, larger reason is sort of why they're doing this. Remissa doesn't really dress up. Ever. Make-up is sort of a foreign concept and heels, even low ones, are nigh impossible. So she's going to "practice".]

[With everything going on in the world, after all, being late could mean just about anything.]
D'you wanna hop right into it, or maybe some tea, first?

The tension in her shoulders eases a little at the offer. She feels weirdly nervous about this, even though it's just Siria.] I could do with some tea.
[She drapes the garment bag over a chair. It's the nicest outfit she's ever owned and it's for Jane and Lily's wedding, so she's very careful with it.] Thanks for doing this, Padfoot. I really have no idea with this sort of thing, and you always look so pretty... [She cuts herself off, feeling her cheeks heat a little.]

[And Siria sounds actually, properly chipper for the first time in a bit as she bustles in the direction of the tea. Hopefully that's nice to see.
(It's easier to push her nervous energy more into cheer than let Remissa see she's oddly nervous.]
'f course, Moony. [She can't help the affectionate scoff as she adds, with a hint of a blush of her own.] 'nd you know it's-- just because I've had practice. You're just making intelligent use of my expertise so you look-- even prettier.

Yes, yes, I'm a goddess of beauty and light, etc. etc. Doesn't change the fact that I know how to enhance my natural good looks with makeup same way we'll be doing now.
[You're pretty, Moony. Don't fight the stubborn lady that can't be convinced otherwise.]

All I was saying was that it wasn't just because you've had practice. But it's the practice that I'm counting on in this case.
[You know, because Siria has an already beautiful base to work off of and she.... doesn't.]

Stubborn will, it seems, continue to meet stubborn.
"I mean it though, Moony." This is a little quieter, almost swallowed under the tea getting ready. She keeps her face more turned away to hide the blush creeping on her cheeks, "Y'really are pretty."
no subject
Well. Now she just feels flushed. "Um... thank you." Padfoot's surely biased though, right? They're friends. Or she's just trying to make her feel better about herself. She can't actually think that awkward, sickly-looking, too-tall, scarred-up Moony is pretty.
She clears her throat. Obviously time for a topic change. "I can't believe Lily's actually letting you wear your leather jacket over your dress."
no subject
Still. Likely best to accept the topic change when it happens. It's easy enough to throw a bright grin over her shoulder in Remissa's direction.
"Believe me, I'm just as surprised as anyone. I think she was just being preemptive because she knew I'd show up in it anyways."

(Though, being Lily, she's probably already anticipated the plot twist Siria's planning.)
"Now it just means 've gotta be-- distracting about something else. How d'you think I'd look with bright blue hair?"
She's probably joking.
no subject
She had no doubt Siria could rock bright blue hair, though... she could make anything look good.
no subject
Because whenever it's Jane's, it's Siria's. Obviously.

She has to make it the way Remissa likes it, after all.

Instead she fidgets with a hole in the sleeve of her jumper. It was nearly big enough for her thumb to slip through, and in the perfect place for it, so she was reluctant to mend it with magic.
She clears her throat, the nerves returning. “Do you, ah-- Do you have anything that will cover the scars? Even though they’re cursed?” She’d certainly tried to do so before, and it had never worked, but maybe Siria would know of something.
